This website is a referral and lead service. Plumbing work is carried out by independent local contractors, and this site does not itself perform plumbing work. We say so here and in the footer of every page so there is no confusion about who is doing the job.

Who does the work and how to check them
The plumbers who take these calls are independent contractors. In California, plumbing work is done under a contractor license issued by the Contractors State License Board, and you can look up any license number on the Board's website at cslb.ca.gov. Ask the person who arrives for their license number and check it before you agree to work.
We do not publish license numbers, years in business or customer reviews on this site, because we will not show any that we cannot back up. When that information is confirmed and can be shown accurately, it will be added.

The service and area pages explain how plumbing problems work and what drives their cost, using public sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's WaterSense program, the U.S. Department of Energy and the California plumbing code. They give general information, not a diagnosis of your house. A plumber has to see the problem to tell you what it needs.

We do not claim a guaranteed arrival time, a fixed price or any award or certification. Arrival depends on how many calls are ahead of yours and where the plumber is. Prices depend on the job, and the plumber quotes you before starting.
